Plaques, Bells and Whistles is a website started by Olds Engineering, a mechanical engineering workshop and foundry in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. It aims to promote beautiful metal objects, often made by hand, and using both modern and traditional techniques.
Olds Engineering started in 1918 and has been involved in making bespoke metal parts for steam locomotives, street furniture, reproduction historic parts, vintage cars, boats and more. Today, it designs and manufactures components for the rail, marine, agricultural, steam and bulk handling industries.
The company recently worked on maintaining statues and sculptures in our local region. It found existing products and systems had downsides, and discovered the unique Renaissance range of products. It hopes this website will spread the word about Renaissance Wax and its diverse range of uses.
